Alpine Brine Graduation House
Alpine Brine Graduation House Bad Reichenhall
Built in 1912, the Alpine Brine Graduation House in the Royal Spa Garden of Bad Reichenhall is the world’s largest alpine open-air inhalatorium. With a length of 160 meters and a height of 13 meters, it impresses with its size and beneficial effects on health. High-concentration alpine brine is allowed to trickle over blackthorn bundles, creating a fine mist that can be inhaled throughout the graduation house.
This alpine brine air is particularly soothing for the respiratory system, cleansing the airways and strengthening the immune system. It is recommended to take a walk for about half an hour along the wind-sheltered side of the graduation house and deeply inhale the fresh air through the nose. The spray surface of the blackthorn fields is about 2,000 square meters per side, contributing significantly to the evaporation of the alpine brine.
The Graduation House is in operation from April to October and is regularly cleaned and maintained to ensure the high quality of the alpine brine air. During the winter months, necessary maintenance and repair work takes place.
